Okay so my theory is that the majority of the My Little Pony writing staff are clever, educated, and charming people who know how to make a kid’s show with solid writing that will appeal to audiences of all kinds, except there’s this one guy who always wears t-shirts to the office and has a neckbeard and he has the worst ideas but his dad is the assistant to the CEO and that’s why we end up with shit like racist ponies and how they decided to do Derpy Hooves.
